WORK APPROACH AND SCHEDULING METHODOLOGY
Work Approach and Scheduling Methodology
Halverson Mechanical Inc. has been involved in the construction industry (mechanical
contracting, plumbing, heating, process piping, medical gas piping) for over sixty-five years.
COMPLETING PROJECTS ON TIME:
We have been involved in various types of schedules from fast track to traditional and various
accelerated scheduled projects. This has included working two and three shifts with specific
overtime schedules, as the situation requires.
There are certain limitations to the amount of manpower that can be provided to the project
on a short notice. However, we have been able to successfully minimize this limitation due to
proper project management along with prefabrication and working closely with the construction
team in order to anticipate the necessary manpower and adjust accordingly. In addition we
create a manpower loading chart at the beginning of the job to help in determining the number
of men required at any given time in the project.
Halverson Mechanical Inc. and other non-union mechanical contractors have entered into an
agreement to loan qualified personnal to each other as necessary. This agreement has proven to
be an asset to our construction industry.
To avoid any delays because of long lead items Halverson Mechanical Inc. orders all materials
and equipment for a project when awarded a contract or receives a letter of intent. As the
project dictates the materials and equipment are released to the job site.
SCHEDULING:
Internally, we have the ability when conditions dictate, to use CPM scheduling and manpower
loading software. We have in-house schedules for anticipated duration of projects with specific
tasks within a project. This is obviously dictated and changed based on the owners, the
designers, or the general contractors scheduling requirements.
Halverson Mechanical Inc. and its employees understand and value the importance of working closely
with all related contractors and activities that interface with the plumbing, heating, and process
piping mechanical work. We feel that our experience, coupled with honesty and integrity are strong
points of our company.
